Summer styling tips for kids

Summer styling tips for kids

Have you thought about your kids summer wardrobe yet? We certainly have.

With summer drop two just around the corner I thought I would share some of my best styling tips with you all. I like to buy items that can be mixed and matched into many outfits, so choosing colours that can be worn together is important. If I buy a T-shirt for example I want to be able to pair it with several pairs of shorts. So think carefully about the pieces you buy to make sure you have endless options.

Comfort is key, make sure your littles are comfortable in their clothes. A tight fitting pair or shorts or a polyester tee is not the right choice, make sure you choose cotton based fabrics that are light and breathable and allows them to run around and move freely.

Accessories are your friend, do your little one love their sandals but they rub their feet? Socks that compliment the outfit paired with their little sandals are super cute. If the sun is shining don’t forget to add a hat, they add that extra little touch to their outfit and you can choose from a classic cap, a bucket hat or straw hat there are lots of options.

Less layers for hot days, rompers and dresses can we worn on their own, we all love how they look with a cute top underneath but when the weather heats up they are a fantastic stand alone piece. With their loose baggy fit they will help to keep your little one cool.

Lastly let your kids if they’re old enough have an input. Iyla loves to help me choose her outfits and getting dressed is always less stressful when she’s helped to choose her outfit.
